Typography Tree Tutorial

Here's a cute idea for some inspirational wall art you can make!  A typography tree framed print with whatever you want written inside!

First you need to create your typography tree graphic.  If you need interesting fonts, go to dafont.com or squirrelfont.com.  Open a blank image in a photo editor and start adding brown words to create a stump or trunk.  Use a green color for the treetop font.  Write words that remind you of the forest, inspirational phrases, a song lyric, anything you want!

Once you've printed your art, gather some supplies like frames, scissors, glue, and scrapbooking paper or old brown paper bags.  If you don't have a printer or are out of ink, think outside the box!  Use your own handwriting or rubber stamps to design the tree.  There's always an option!

Cut out an outline around a tree.  You don't have to do this, of course, but I wanted to try different textures.  For the other print of the pine tree I preferred to leave it against a blank white backdrop for added effect.

Glue the shape onto scrapbook paper and frame!
