What's in my Bag: Forest Explorer's Kit

If you're planning on wandering the woods, don't take a single step until you have your Forest Explorer's Survival Kit with you!  Whether you're just going on a camping trip or just a quick walk through the local park, this inventory can make all the difference.  These days, I never go anywhere without my survival kit...

Map To see where you are, where you've been and where you are going.  Prevents the possibility of becoming lost in the forest...

Notebook & Pen  Use it to document your journey, scribble poetry or pictures, and write down important information.

Deck of Cards For playing games and telling fortunes!

Swiss Army Knife Your most useful tool: use it for cutting herbs & flowers, unscrewing things, picking locks on the dumpster, carving willow whistles, carving your name in the trees, the possibilities are endless!

Herb Pouch To store herbs, flowers, berries, twigs, and leaves that you've collected along the way...

Keys These will open doors on your journey where there seemed to be only walls...

Granola The official food of the forest, this will sustain you on your quest.  Make your own mix  from organic berries, nuts and oats!

Compass To point you in the right direction, of course...

Forest Field Guide How else are you supposed to identiy the plans and herbs you will encounter?  Consult this guide to avoid getting poisoned, learn what plants are edible and which ones are not.

Panpipes A fun toy to pass the time sitting on a stump, or you can make merry melodies as you wander down the path...

Camera To caputre every moment of your wonderful adventure!

Other Stuff You May Need a Flashlight, First Aid Kit, Hemp String, Bandana, Tent, Sleeping Bag, Hiking Boots, Bird Whistle, Water Bottle, Cell Phone,  Lighter, and a Good Book are all useful items you should consider bringing with you, if you choose to go into the wild.
