An Insect Expedition

I recently got a chance to visit Butterfly Wonderland in Arizona, one of the county's largest butterfly and moth habitats!  The large atrium housed several species I wanted to document...

I was ready for an expedition into the world of insects!

The first room contained all the cocoons and chrysalises that the butterflies were emerging from...

The African Moon Moth was one of my favorites...

The Blue Morpho butterfly camouflages its bright colors with an owl-like outer wing pattern.

This little guy didn't mind cameras at all.

The green butterflies were my favorites...

The Parthenos Sylvia liked to hang out on pine boughs...

  1. Oh, so nice! Butterflies are so beautiful. I've been to two habitats like this and was awed each time. Glad you were able to see them up close. Nice photos.

  2. Thank you so much! Yes, it was amazing to see so many species of butterflies in such a safe and wonderful environment. It reminded me of when Jesse and I went to the forest earlier this year when the red and brown butterflies were populating it!

  3. Raie on puude langetamine, mis on osa raietööst. Puud raiuv inimene on langetaja. Langetaja on masin, mis suudab kas ühe hiiglasliku puu või rühma langetada ja mitu väikest puud korraga langetada. Metsa müük on kaks meetodit, käsitsi raie ja raiekobar.
