Recipe: Red Clover Tea

Red clovers, trifolium pratense, the wild and weedy flowers that pop up everywhere!  Today we will be brewing it into a tea for the purpose of self-care and love.  These cute clovers have numerous health benefits for people suffering from PMS or similar issues.  The beautiful purple-pink hue that blooms in the spring can be carried as a protective talisman with three clover leaves, or used as a tool for love divination with two.  To prepare the tea, gather the flowers from a nearby forest:

They can be found almost everywhere, from the side of the road to the banks of a river.  Carefully collect the highest blooms and place in a basket or paper bag.  Rinse the flowers off once gathered.

Snip the clover leaves off each bud.  You can set these aside for sauteing if you wish...

Gather all the buds into a tea bag.  You can make your own tea filtering bags from paper towels, cheesecloth, etc...  Once the water is boiling, add honey to the teacup and pour hot water over the teabag.  Steep for five full minutes.  Enjoy!
