Four leaf clover season is almost over, but there's still time to pluck the last bit of luck before it goes. Finding four leaf clovers is one of my hobbies and over the years, I have perfected the art of getting these lucky leaves! Read on to find out how you can too...
Start searching! You can't win the lottery if you never buy a ticket! Similarly, you won't find a four leaf clover if you dont look...Many times after finding a four leafer, passersby comment on my prize "Is that a four leaf clover!? I've never found one of those, how did you do it?" You've just got to look.
Go hunting from March to May. As April showers bring May flowers, they also bring clovers! The season of spring is the best time to find four leaf clovers.
Search after rainy days in heavily fertilized areas, such as where dogs have been walked...just be careful when checking patches not to touch and dig into the clover patches, simply scan the scene and be on alert for any abnormalities. The fourth leaf will usually be a bit smaller than the others.
Find the white flowers. Four leaf clovers are more commonly found among patches of white clover, although I have found them among red clovers. Look for puffy white flowers and white triangle marks on the clover leaves.
If you find a four leaf clover in a particular patch, keep looking for you may find another The genetic anomaly that causes the fortunate fourth leaf spreads through the area. I recently went back to a place I had found a four leaf clover and found another!

Hold the clover in front of you to use as a "dowsing rod" to lead you to more luck.
Or make a magic wand with a crystal that has a clover embedded on it to use to search for lucky opportunities.
Press the clovers in a heavy book to preserve their powers. Use the pressed clovers to make cards with phrases such as 'Sending a Little Luck Your Way' or 'A Good Friend is Like a Four Leaf Clover Hard to Find and Lucky to Have' written on them.
Find miniature picture frames at thrift stores to display the clovers and make necklace amulets.
Make buttons or pins with the pressed clovers...Or make lucky keychains!
Toss the fresh clovers in a spring salad to serve at a St. Patrick's Day picnic.
Glue the clovers to your body for a fun accessory for the fairy festivals.
The possibilities are as endless as clovers growing in a field!
Always remember, my friends of the forest, that the luckiest four leaf clover in the forest gets that way by never being picked.
