Witches in Wonderland

 Today, I took a chance and drove down to Havre de Grace for a garden party- Witches in Wonderland! The event was hosted by the owner of a local new age shop, Haven. After being cooped up in the new house for two months, I felt it was time to try and integrate myself into the community.

I drove through the waterfront town filled with Victorian houses, and arrived at the house. The owner's beautiful garden was all decorated in Wonderland style, with mad hatters asking riddles to enter "What kind of room has no windows or doors?" Of course I knew the answer, a mushroom! However, I was carrying a mushroom house purse that did have windows and a door!

I wandered around the garden, admiring the attendees outfits, sipping tea and reading a book on the garden bench. I made a spell jar with herbs of courage and aventurine stones to help me feel more comfortable exploring my new town. "Don't be afraid to do things."  I got a tarot reading about this new chapter in my life and it was good. The Lovers, The Wheel of Fortune, Page of Wands, Knight of Wands, The High Priestess and The Magician! On the way out, I found a small green little free library and found another one of the books I had been wanting to read.. I'm glad I took a chance.
