How to Do a Pinecone Bun

One of my favorite hairstyles is a fun forest twist on a classic bun.  A pinecone bun!  It's very easy to do and looks great on brown hair!  (If you don't have brown hair, paint the pinecone to match your hair color.  Hmm I wonder if you could bleach the wood, that would look good on blondes...)   I used to wear this to work often, it's a very businesslike forest style.  Now you can learn to do a pinecone bun, too!

Supplies needed: A brush, hair band, bobby pin, and a pinecone on a stick.  These are easy to find at thrift store after or around the holidays and can be bought for pennies!  If you can't find one, use wire to attach the stick to the cone.

Put your hair in a ponytail, insert the stick into your hair, then wrap the ponytail around the pinecone.  When you get to the end, use the bobby pin to secure the hair.  Ta-da!  A perfect pinecone bun.
