With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I've been thinking up ways to make green gifts without spending a cent. One of my ideas was to make my own cards from recycled brown bags and leaves collected around the forest... Try making these cards for your loved ones, friends of the forest!
Supplies needed: brown grocery bags, scissors, glue stick, and leaves. Gather leaves the day before you attempt this craft and press with a book. Look for leaves that could be made into a heart shape. I really liked the red leaves and clover leaves for heart shapes.
Cut the brown bag into card shapes, using the bag's natural crease as a guideline for the center of the card...
Glue the leaves onto the card gently, as not to break them...
Try to arrange the leaves in the shape of a heart...
...And you're done! These cards make great gifts for any holiday, just modify the shape from a heart to whatever you want! Well, friends of the forest, what did your cards end up looking like?
