DIY Rosemary Cat Collar

Today I wanted to share an idea Jesse came up with a few years ago.  An all-natural rosemary cat collar!  In the summertime, fleas get in full swing.  Fleas can live in grass, so when we let out cats out to play, we give them a rosemary collar to ward off the pests.  Rosemary repels fleas.  To make this collar, you will need only a few supplies: string, scissors, and rosemary.  We grow our own rosemary, so we just cut a sprig off, make a small wreath and tie it with the string.  Put it on the cats when they are outside, and take them off when they come in.  We also like to hang big bunches of rosemary near our windows to keep fleas from coming in.

  1. Really? I had no idea! Then again, I don't have a garden so my cat can't really venture out anyway…
Was your cat surprised by the rosemary smell?
