The Forest Librarian Recomends...The Forester's Daughter

Over the weekend, I read a lot of vintage romance novels set in the wild west forests.  It all started when I saw Man of the Forest and started devouring Zane Grey's books.  One thing led to another, and I started reading The Forester's Daughter by Hamlin Garland.  This is the story of a city boy who goes to a mountain town and falls in love with a girl who knows her way around the forest.  This tale was filled with rivalries, shootings, forest adventures, romance, and plenty of plot twists.  Friends of the forest, if you're looking for a new book to read, you've just found it!
