The Otter is the most playful and effervescent sign in the Forest.  Commonly mistaken for  water sign, these land dwelling creatures are ruled by air, and use the river as a "freeway" to travel and hunt.   They are individualistic, often eccentric in their beliefs and habits.  Often visionary and high-minded, these signs are here to change the world for the better.  Many are social, environmental or animal activists.  Otters are intuitive, channeling information from the babbling brook, their source of all life.  They can be very talkative and love to tell tales.  Otters love to have fun and often make toys and games out of pebbles.  They can be a bit too dreamy and un-grounded at times, due to all their napping while riding the river downstream.These critters are extremely social and communicative, tend to run in pairs or packs.  In a romantic relationship, they are seeking a soulmate.  They expect a larger-than-life romance.  As a partner, the Otter may be a bit unreliable, but will always be there to cheer you up when you need them.  They have a tendency more than other signs to lean towards a polyamorous approach to love.  The life lesson for this sign is to freely follow your flow, let go, and ride the river to the new horizons...
