I'm in Pittsburgh for the weekend, summer's last hurrah before its time to get back on track. Visiting my friend Emily in her neck of the woods. Took the train in late last night and went to her house where we spent all night talking and catching up till the early hours of morning. When we woke up, her boyfriend Patrick joined us for brunch at a local diner, Frank and Shirley's Restaurant for blueberry pancakes and potato cakes.
After fueling up on food, we rode down to the local thrift store Red, White and Blue where we found cute vintage clothes and then Miller's Crossing, an antique mall. We spent a ton of time and money there.
This little squirrel beckoned us into the aisles and we certainly saw some rare forest finds...
I love this swing classic, The Woodchoppers Ball by Woody Herman and His Orchestra. Couldn't pass up the record with such a great cover design!
This derpy squirrel bank that chatters its mouth when a coin is inserted! Emily got it for me as a gift. The perfect addition to my miniature menagerie!
A vintage parasol, ceramic flask, stained glass with pressed flowers, and much more were among Emily's finds...
One dollar for this retro eco patch! Perfect to add to my brown jacket covered in scout patches and such...
Last but not least, a Disney Bambi mug.
