We went downtown for a business errand to a sort of thrift shop for crafty odds and ends. Located in a renovated garage in Pigtown, Scrap Bmore is a creative reuse center that relies on donations and is very affordable and well worth the trip downtown... where I bought fabrics in lush velvet green, brown knits, zippers, lace, buttons and bows!
Then we took a detour to Sew Bromo, a sewing school in the area where I will be taking a class under the highly renowned tutelage of designer Stacey Stube in two weeks! The Fashion Entrepreneur Essentials Training is just what I need to refine my skills and take them to the next level as I prepare to launch my new shop this summer.
After business, we settled into the historical tavern Supanos, filled with pictures of old musicians and movie stars, player pianos and friendly staff for lunch and drinks away from the crowded Inner Harbor area before heading home to work on new designs!
